The Boston Red Sox's offense has been off to a slow start this season, and it may be time to make some changes to the lineup.

Fans have already seen Alex Cora toy with the batting order, but bigger changes may be needed on the lineup card. Offseason acquisition Caleb Durbin is off to a 4-for-33 start to the season, and it may be time to give him a few consecutive days off to reset. He was on the bench to start Tuesday's game, but was used as a pinch hitter.

Durbin is not the only Red Sox hitter searching for answers at the plate, but overall, he seems to be struggling the most. The Red Sox should consider giving Andruw Monasterio some run in the hot corner while they work with Durbin.

Monasterio had a good spring training, slashing .279/.360/.395 with one home run, two stolen bases and five walks. He has played in just four games this season. He is 1-for-8 to start the season, but he is coming off his best season as a hitter in the big leagues, and could just need some playing time to get going.

In 68 games last season, Monasterio slashed .270/.319/.437. He had 13 extra-base hits as well. This is not to say Durbin is a lost cause, but something is not right. He is not playing like he did last season, and things may be starting to snowball for the second-year player. He could simply just need a few days off and extra work with hitting coaches to tweak some things.

The Red Sox are 3-8, and they need to start stacking wins before they fall too far behind the rest of the American League East.
