The East Coast is getting crushed by rain on Easter Sunday.
The Yankees-Marlins and Nationals-Dodgers games are both starting in delays. A similar worry exists at Fenway Park for the Boston Red Sox.
Even if a delay doesn't happen, weather could have an impact on proceedings eventually.
The Red Sox are slated to host the San Diego Padres in a series finale, and given that they won't welcome the Padres to town the rest of the season, it would make sense to do what they can to play this game.
It's supposed to pit Padres righty Walker Buehler against Red Sox lefty Ranger Suarez.
The teams will also hope the schedule shakes out well enough that those guys don't start the game only to have a lengthy delay and have to be pulled out early.

Rain is in the forecast all day long in Boston, and if anything, it may increase in the 5 p.m. and beyond window.
Because of that, they may be best served trying to get the game done. If they have to delay early, there may be another one coming later.
Accuweather, the rain has already started.

At this point, the best hope is simply that April showers will eventually bring around some May flowers.
