Stunner! Wisconsin’s huge rally denies Michigan State Frozen Four

No. 3 overall seed Michigan State fell just short of the program's first Frozen Four appearance since 2007 with a 4-3 overtime loss against Wisconsin in the Worcester regional final Saturday in Worcester, Mass., at the DCU Center.

Wisconsin scored two unanswered goals over the final five minutes of regulation, and in the opening seconds of overtime, senior defender Ben Dexheimer sniped a shot from just inside the blue line to put the Badgers in the Frozen Four.
Wisconsin will take on the winner of North Dakota vs. Quinnipiac in the Frozen Four semifinal on Thursday, April 9.
Goal scorers for MSU were Gavin O'Connell, Patrick Geary and Matt Basgall.
Wisconsin moves to 22-12-2 while Michigan State ends its season at 26-8-3.
