General Manager of Central Railway Conducted Safety Inspection of Roha–Kharbhav Section on Mumbai Division.

Prateek Goswami, General Manager, Central Railway, conducted a detailed safety inspection of the Roha–Kharbhav section on Mumbai Division on March 25, 2026 to review operational efficiency, safety standards and progress of ongoing developmental works.

Inspection at Roha
The inspection commenced at Roha. At Roha, Goswami carried out station inspection including Panel Room and PRS. He also inspected Electronic Interlocking and Display Systems, Turnout No. 111A and Running Room facilities.
During the inspection, the General Manager inspected Tunnel No.1 and Curve No.26 between Nidi–Nagothane section. Further, inspection of Bridge No. 85/2 (Patalganga River Bridge) and SEJ (Switch Expansion Joint) No. 10 between JITE–APTA section was carried out. He also interacted with Passengers Association members at Roha station.
Inspection at Apta
At Apta, Goswami inspected Apta Colony and Gang No.2. Inspection of Level Crossing No. 2 and Bridge No. 75/1 in APTA–Rasayani section was also carried out.
Inspection at Panvel
At Panvel, the General Manager inspected Combined Crew Lobby (Main Line) and Traction Sub Station. He also dedication to staff the newly constructed RPF Post. Inspection of SPARMV (Self Propelled Accident Relief Medical Van), AI-based cameras and station stalls was also carried out.
Inspection towards Kharbhav
During further inspection, a speed run of 120 kmph was conducted between Taloje–Nilje section. At Kharbhav, Goswami reviewed Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited connectivity.
Goswami interacted with officers and staff during the inspection, emphasizing the importance of safety, maintenance, quality and training. He also reviewed punctuality, cleanliness and infrastructure development works across the section.
Hiresh Mina, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division, along with Principal Heads of Departments and Senior Officers from Headquarters and Mumbai Division, accompanied the General Manager during the inspection.
