BATON ROUGE – LSU women's basketball is back in the Women's NCAA tournament second round.

After a dominating 116-58 victory over No. 15 Jacksonville in the opening round of March Madness Friday, No. 2 LSU (28-5) advanced to the second round for the fifth straight season under head coach Kim Mulkey. No. 7 Texas Tech defeated No. 10 Villanova, 57-52, in the other game at the Baton Rouge Regional to set up the LSU-Texas Tech showdown inside Pete Maravich Assembly Center at 2 p.m. (CT), Sunday.

The Lady Raiders' win over Villanova in round one was the program's first NCAA tournament win in 21 years. Senior guard Bailey Maupin scored 18 points for Texas Tech in the win.

There were seven players that scored in double figures against Jacksonville for LSU. Star senior Flau'jae Johnson led the way with 20 points while junior sensation Mikaylah Williams recorded a double double with 18 points and 10 assists.

A win for LSU would advance it to the Sweet 16 in Sacramento 2 Region next weekend.
