According to reports, the Titans restructured Ridley’s contract, ensuring the All-Pro receiver will remain in Nashville.

Speculation had grown that Tennessee could release Ridley as a salary-cap casualty. Instead, the Titans chose to keep him and convert 2027 cash into 2026 cap space.

The exact amount of cap space the move creates has not yet been made public. Ridley’s presence could also influence how the Titans approach the NFL Draft in April.

The Atlanta Falcons selected Ridley in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he has experienced an eventful career since entering the league. While his on-field production has been excellent, many fans still remember his 2022 suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy.

The suspension followed Ridley’s absence from the Falcons during the 2021 season as he dealt with mental health concerns. He returned to the field in 2023 with the Jacksonville Jaguars and quickly regained his All-Pro form.

That resurgence helped Ridley land a lucrative deal with the Titans during the 2024 free-agency period. Despite inconsistent quarterback play, he recorded another 1,000-yard season in his first year in Nashville.

Ridley’s 2025 season ended prematurely due to injury, leaving his status for 2026 uncertain. Now, the Titans have made their intentions clear: Ridley will remain a key part of the offense.
