· Yahoo Sports
The Oklahoma Sooners closed the season on a six-game winning streak with an 84-78 win over the Missouri Tigers. Oklahoma is slated as the No. 5 seed in the SEC women's basketball tournament and landed at No. 7 in the latest AP Top 25 to close the regular season.
The Sooners are the fifth-highest-rated team in the SEC, and eight teams from the conference rank inside the top 25.

The UConn Huskies have maintained the No. 1 spot in the top 25 for the last couple of months and will probably land as the No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Likewise, UCLA has been locked in at No. 2 for some time as well. The unanimous top 2 teams are followed by five SEC squads, led by South Carolina at No. 3. Texas comes in at No. 4, with Vanderbilt, LSU, and Oklahoma finishing out the top seven in this week's AP Poll.
Ranked in the top seven, the Sooners have a shot at nabbing a No. 2 or 3 seed in the NCAA tournament when selection time comes around. Oklahoma will open the SEC basketball tournament on March 5. They await the winner of the first round matchup between the Florida Gators and Mississippi State Bulldogs. If the Sooners are able to win their second-round matchup, they'll take on the LSU Tigers in the third round.
