One of the things Goretzka will miss the most is the atmosphere of Der Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund.

For the 31-year-old, it will be his final match in the rivalry as a member of Bayern Munich and Goretzka is going to soak it all in.

“I’m really looking forward to the game. I’m from the Ruhr area, I’m from Bochum, so games against BVB have always been something special for me. That hasn’t changed over time at Bayern. For me, it’s still a derby, and I’m fired up for the game,” Goretzka told Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

It will be interesting to see what role Bayern Munich head coach plans for Goretzka as the player will surely want to take part in the festivities. There could be an opportunity for Goretzka to appear as a sub given that Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlović are expected to start.
