Wilson is one of 30 players — and one of only 10 freshmen — on the list. Wilson is one of three players from the Atlantic Coast Conference to earn late-season recognition, joining Duke’s Cameron Boozer and Stanford’s Ebuka Okorie.

Wilson has had a sensational season for the Tar Heels, leading the team with 19.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. He has set UNC freshman records by scoring in double figures in each of his first 24 games and recording 17 games with at least 20 points.

Wilson leads the nation with 66 dunks and ranks among the top five in the ACC in scoring, rebounding, field-goal percentage (.578) and double-doubles (11). He is currently sidelined with a broken bone in his left hand.
