Bayern Munich is reportedly going to take a close look at FC Barcelona defender Jules Koundé this summer.

Koundé, who is 27-years-old, could be an option at right-back for next season (he has played center-back, too) for Bayern Munich, but the Bavarians will have to battle Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea to get him:

With the January window now closed, those at Anfield have seemingly set their sights on a far more ambitious option than Geertruida. According to reports in Spain, Liverpool are now plotting a move to sign Jules Kounde from Barcelona, who would sell their defender at a hefty €80m (£70m).

It would be quite the move and Kounde’s clear quality means that Liverpool aren’t the only side interested. Joining them, Manchester United, Chelsea and most of all Bayern Munich have also set their sights on signing the talented Frenchman in the summer.

This does not feel like a move Bayern Munich would make — the cost along is cause for caution. It is also a question of whether or not it would fiscally responsible to pay the salary cost that it would take to get Koundé, for him to play right-back — a position where Bayern Munich might be looking to pay someone less than the total package of € 19,550,000 he currently makes.

In addition, FC Barcelona — allegedly — holds a € 1,000,000,000 release clause on Koundé, whose contract runs through 2030.

Falk says Berchimas deal might not happen (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)

Earlier this week, it looked like Bayern Munich was closing in on a deal for Charlotte FC attacker Nimfasha Berchimas, but Sport Bild’s Christian Falk says that is not the case:

❌ It is NOT TRUE: Bayern are close to signing Nimfasha Berchimas from Charlotte FC. He’s an interesting player. There are plenty of Bayern scouts in the USA, and they have a partner club in Los Angeles FC. Berchimas is known to Bayern; he was involved in a training session for Bayern Munich (and also with Manchester United), but it’s not hot at the moment. It’s also worth pointing out that the player hasn’t turned 18 yet (February 22 is his birthday – then he’d be able to sign for Bayern). At the moment, it doesn’t seem like a move is going to happen. We have to wait and see what happens in the future, but I can’t say this is a done deal at present.

Spurs want talks with Vušković amid Bayern interest (The Hard Tackle)

Tottenham Hotspur loanee and Hamburger SV defender Luka Vušković has burst onto the scene in the Bundesliga this season and looks like he is developing into one of the most sought after prospects in all of Europe.

Bayern Munich is among those clubs lobbing over interest in the center-back and Tottenham Hotspur wants to regroup with its prized prospect:

Tottenham are all set to hold fresh talks with their defensive sensation Luka Vuskovic regarding his future, amidst interest from Bayern Munich. Amidst the increasing interest in his services, parent club Tottenham are looking to secure his long-term future. According to a report from TEAMtalk, the North London club are looking to hold fresh talks with the teenager over his first-team pathway.

Luka Vuskovic’s sensational rise at Hajduk Split caught the attention of Tottenham, and they were quick to secure his services last summer. Following his arrival at Spurs, he requested a loan move as he was keen on playing regular first-team football.

Tottenham agreed to the loan move on his request, and he has certainly made the most out of his spell in the German top flight. The 18-year-old centre-back has started 17 games in the league and two in the DFB-Pokal for Hamburger SV, and he has even bagged four goals.

Bayern Munich reportedly enquired about Luka Vuskovic in December, but Spurs turned down their approach. Despite that, the German giants retain interest in him, and they could return for his signature in the near future. Since they continue to monitor the former Hajduk Split defender, Tottenham find themselves in a dilemma.

However, they are not willing to guarantee an 18-year-old regular first-team minutes just yet. They are expected to hold talks with him about his future after the end of this season. There are indications that Vuskovic could request to remain in Germany if Spurs don’t guarantee regular minutes.

Gunners eyeing Svensson (ESPN)

Arsenal could be keeping a close eye on Borussia Dortmund left-back Daniel Svensson:

Arsenal are looking at Borussia Dortmund left-back Daniel Svensson. German newspaper Bild reports that Dortmund would be willing to offload the 23-year-old if they receive an offer worth £26 million, but there could also be competition from Leeds United and Inter Milan. A move for Svensson from Arsenal could cast uncertainty over the future over Myles Lewis-Skelly, who has been linked with an exit from the Emirates Stadium this season, during which he made just one start in the Premier League. Svensson, a Sweden international, has also previously been linked with Liverpool.

Gunners, United, Atléti, Juve, Spurs to battle for Goretzka? (GiveMeSport)

It looks like Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka will be a popular figure this summer. Arsenal, Manchester United, Atlético Madrid, Juventus, and Tottenham Hotspur could take a run at the Germany international:

Leon Goretzka will be hot property in the summer transfer window.

The Bayern Munich star has announced that he is leaving the Allianz Arena in the summer when his contract expires. That will bring an to an end an eight-year association with the German champions.

Manchester United have shown a strong interest in the past, looking to sign Goretzka on numerous occasions and, given their need for a central midfielder in the summer – Casemiro will be leaving when his contract expires – the German international will be high on their list of potential signings. They will not be alone, however, Arsenal have also been credited with an interest, and due to the injury suffered by Mikel Merino, even made an approach to prise him away from Bayern in the January transfer window.

According to Fussball Daten, Atletico Madrid and Juventus are also monitoring the situation, with Tottenham and West Ham in the Premier League also linked.
