The war veteran is popularly known for organising the infamous Zimbabwe protest on 31 March 2025.
Geza: ‘I might not see a new Zimbabwe
In his message, Geza expressed fear that he might not live to see what he calls a “new Zimbabwe” beyond President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s rule.
“I am in pain that I might not see the new Zimbabwe after Emmerson,” he says, adding that his comfort lies in the hope that the people will continue fighting for a free and prosperous nation.

In what reads like a farewell, Geza acknowledges his declining strength, saying he may not have much time left. Still, his resolve remains unbroken.
“As I speak to you now, I feel my energy sapping,” he said. “I might not be here tomorrow, next week, or next month.”

Blessed Geza: From liberation dreams to political regret
Geza reflects on joining the liberation struggle at a young age, recalling the sacrifices made by comrades who died in battle.
He says the brutality of colonial oppression robbed Black Zimbabweans of dignity, identity, and opportunity, injustices the liberation war sought to correct.
However, that dream, he argues, has since been betrayed.
He openly admits regret over his role in the removal of former president Robert Mugabe in November 2017, saying the decision was driven by hope that the new leadership would restore the values of the liberation struggle.
“What followed has been a nightmare,” he laments, describing the current period as a national nightmare.
Accusations of Corruption and State Capture
Geza accuses Mnangagwa and a small circle of politically connected elites of looting the country’s resources, claiming corruption has reached unprecedented levels.
He alleges that state institutions have been captured by powerful individuals who are enriching themselves at the expense of ordinary citizens.
